Cross Creek High School Drill Meet Saturday, November 12, 2011

Here are a few notes about the upcoming Drill Meet at Cross Creek High School:
All Cadets will need to be at Lassiter High School no later than 3:30 a.m. We plan on leaving at 4:00 a.m. The classroom will be open at 3:00 a.m. Captain has a meeting at 6:45a.m. on site, so we need to ensure that all Cadets are on time for departure. This will be a same day trip.
Male/female do not sit together on the bus. Chaperone going on the trip are David Rothkin, Mike Huff, Arcelia Mak and Chaves' Sister. Any medication should be given to the chaperones and/or 1st Sgt and Captain. It needs to be logged in to a book. All Cobb County school rules apply. Electronics are allowed on the bus but will be collected prior to departing the bus.
Small breakfast will be provided in the morning and lunch will be provided as well. No dinner but snacks will be on the bus.
Uniforms will be due, cleaned and pressed by this Thursday after school. Cadets were made aware of this during class this week. Permission slips are due THIS Friday – This trip is $60 and due by Friday, November 4 as well as the permission slip and account authorization form – they were given out Tuesday in class. Account authorization forms can be found on the website. We will arrive back the same day, Saturday, November 12 around 7p.m. Cadets will contact parents around the Grady curve. Please be prompt in picking up your Cadet or arrange for their ride home.
The first event is at 7:30am (sit ups/push-ups). We encourage as many families and friends to attend! All Cadets will need a fresh hair cut Thursday prior to the trip (females, no make-up, earrings, or nail polish).
Dress code for the drive down and back will be a white t-shirt, NJROTC Warm-up suits, white socks and clean tennis shoes. Cadets who ordered a $99 warm-up suit will receive it by next Thursday prior to the trip. In addition, Cadets will need to bring 1-2 sets of PT gear and a small duffle bag for their personal belongings. Each Cadet will check out a NJROTC garment bag for their uniform which will need to be returned after the trip.
